Fabricated Products

With over 50 years experience hand fabricating in our complete range of materials, we are able to offer solutions to even the most diverse problems. A recent example of an unusual fabrication was a customers requirement to collect samples from cattle in a field. We were able to fabricate a “catcher” out of insertion rubber complete with straps to ensure it fitted to the animal snugly and securely.

Fabricated Products – Connectors

Fabric flexible connectors are manufactured in a wide range of fabrics, from natural nylons to polyurethane and rubber proofed cloths.

The connectors are all bespoke, manufactured to specific customer requirements.

We stock a large range of fabrics from light weight nylons to heavy duty canvas so all applications can be catered for.

Rubber connectors

Standard re-inforced or unreinforced rubber sleeves and flanged rubber connectors can be used for various low-pressure applications such as ducting misalignment, anti-vibration couplings, sieve bellows and silo outlets.

Non standard sizes and dissimilar ends can all be catered for.

When deciding on the most appropriate materials and build specification, a number of considerations must be taken into account including working temperature, pressure and conveyed media. Fixing methods can include worm-drive clips or flanges

Mandrel-Built Seamless Rubber Sleeves

Mandrel-built seamless rubber sleeves consist of a seamless rubber tube produced with a smooth internal bore and cloth mark outer finish. These sleeves have no bonded seam and can be used as cement loading chutes, discharge chutes and silo rubber sleeves.

A full range of mandrel-built sleeves ranging from 1 ½” to 20” diameter with a 1/8” wall are available from stock in both Tan Para rubber and FDA white food quality natural rubber.

Other rubber compounds and wall thicknesses are available upon request. These include FDA white food-grade Neoprene rubber, FDA white food-grade Nitrile rubber, FDA food-grade silicone rubber and blue FDA rubbers. Reinforcement can also be included into the build specification with selected polymers to increase pressure ratings suitable for applications such as blow lines and silo sleeves.

Silo Flexibles

We make and stock a wide variety of flexible connectors for use in silo systems.

To provide a quick turnaround we carry extruded beaded edge and bin activator extrusion in stock ready to be fabricated into the correct size, ensuring any downtime is kept to a minimum.

Our range of stainless steel rod clamps for the bin activator sleeves ensure a secure fastening and unlike standard flat band clamps these will not cut into the rubber sleeve underneath.

Polyurethane FDA and ATEX thermoplastic bellows and connectors

Polyurethane sleeves/bellows and connnectors are made from FDA compliant & ATEX rated materials manufactured in house in the UK.

We can offer bespoke design clear thermoplastic polyurethane film TPU flexible sleeves, bellows and flanged connectors.

The clear polyurethane is FDA approved and can also be ATEX rated for hazardous explosive environments. The polyurethane has good abrasion resistant properties plus, with being clear they allow you to see the product flow.
