A semi-metallic gasket combines the structural integrity of metal with the sealing flexibility of non-metallic materials. This composite construction allows semi-metallic gaskets to provide excellent recovery and load-bearing capabilities, making them suitable for both low and high-pressure or temperature systems. They are particularly effective where flange load or surface finish might vary.
