High Temperature Gaskets

Non Asbestos Gaskets

High temperature gaskets are important components for applications where heat, pressure, and chemical exposure challenge the reliability of other seals. Designed to perform under extreme conditions, high temperature gaskets prevent leaks and help reduce the risk of equipment failure. Selecting the right high temperature gasket ensures machinery continues to operate safely and can continue to perform well over time.

Compressed Non-Asbestos Fibre

High Temperature Gasket Materials

Our high temperature gaskets can be made from compressed non-asbestos fibre (CNAF), semi metallic, or metallic alloys. These materials replaced asbestos-based gaskets which were often used previously, providing comparable thermal resistance without the associated health risks. Rubber binders such as Nitrile or EPDM are often incorporated to improve the flexibility and pressure & chemical resistance of the seal, allowing our high temperature gaskets to perform reliably in an array of different industries and environments.

Applications and Performance

Non-asbestos and metallic high temperature gaskets are suited to heavy and harsh conditions where extreme heat and pressure are present. Non asbestos gaskets maintain their shape and resist chemical damage, even on uneven flange surfaces, while metallic and semi-metallic gaskets offer high levels of durability for applications such as engines, turbines, and high-pressure pipelines. It’s important to ensure you choose the correct gasket grade for your desired application.

Style-3760

Multi-swell 3760

The MULTI-SWELL™ 3760 is the ultimate problem solver for those lightweight flange and covers where nuisance oil and water leaks plague most industrial facilities. Unlike traditional vegetable fibre and cork gaskets that allow water and oil to “wick” through the body of the gasket, the MULTI-SWELL absorbs the media at the inside edge, swells, and creates a tighter, long term seal.

Metal Jacketed/Clad Gaskets

Metal Jacketed/Clad Gaskets

The most basic type of semi-metallic gasket has a compressible insert enclosed within a metallic jacket. The insert material forces the metal to deform to suit the flange surface and effect a seal.

Machined Rings/Washers

Machined Rings/Washers

From a simple laser cut copper or stainless steel washer to a more complex CNC machined ring, we offer a wide range of solutions in materials ranging from mild steel to high temperature Inconel and Hastelloy. Please contact us with your requirement.
Data Sheet
Dowty/Bonded Seals

Dowty/Bonded Seals

Our Bonded Seals (or Dowty Seals) consist of a rubber sealing element that is bonded to the inner wall of a metal washer. They are commonly used in applications where high pressures demand greater sealing capacity than can be obtained with Copper or other metallic washers.
