High Temperature Gaskets

AFM 34 is an asbestos-free gasket material. It contains aramid fibres, inorganic fillers and other high-temperature resistant substances which are bonded with high strength and especially gas-tight under increased pressure and increased temperature.

A superior performance universal compressed sheet material based on a blend of aramid/inorganic fibres and special additives, with high quality nitrile rubber binder system.

Inorganic fibres with a nitrile binder. IFG5500 offers excellent thermal stability with minimal weight loss, reduced creep relaxation and improved torque retention. The inorganic fibres have excellent thermal and oxidation resistance, withstanding a continuous operating temperature of up to 550° F (290° C), and maximum spike of 800° F (425° C).

AFM 30 is an asbestos- free gasket material. It consists of aramid fibres and other asbestos substitutes that are resistant to high temperatures and are processed with high- grade elastomers under elevated pressure and temperature.

A good quality compressed asbestos free fibre sheet material based on a blend of aramid and inorganic fibres with a nitrile rubber binder system suitable for use in a wide range of applications, including hot and cold water, steam, oils, fuels, gases and a wide range of general chemicals.

Manufactured for us in the UK, by Flexitallic and based on a blend of aramid and inorganic fibre with a nitrile binder. Greeneseal© is a medium quality, cost effective non-asbestos gasket material. Suitable up to +150° C. See our data sheet for more details.

A compressed non-asbestos sheet material which combines a high percentage of graphite, reinforced with aramid fibres and a small amount of rubber binder system. A high performance material with excellent mechanical properties, it is suitable for many applications including oils, solvents, high pressure steam and gases including oxygen.

A premium grade compressed sheet material based on carbon fibre with a high quality nitrile rubber binder system suitable for use under alkaline conditions with good steam resistance. It also possesses excellent creep resistance and is suitable for use with oils, fuels and refrigerants.

We manufacture metal shims in a wide range of materials and thicknesses, with parts offered as thin as 0.05mm (0.002 ”). If you require individual shims or as a shim set comprising of different thicknesses, we can supply. Shims can be manufactured to your drawing or specified dimensions.

Our Bonded Seals (or Dowty Seals) consist of a rubber sealing element that is bonded to the inner wall of a metal washer. They are commonly used in applications where high pressures demand greater sealing capacity than can be obtained with Copper or other metallic washers.

The most basic type of semi-metallic gasket has a compressible insert enclosed within a metallic jacket. The insert material forces the metal to deform to suit the flange surface and effect a seal.

There are a wide variety of corrugated metal gaskets which are used as a versatile seal when bolt loads are low. The are comprised of concentric grooves on both sides and can be coated with other materials to make a seal on distorted or uneven faces. Nitrile is used with some oils and has good resistance to inorganic chemical products except antioxidant agents and chlorine. This grade also has a polyester or fibreglass reinforcement in it to reduce stretch.

Blue colours are gaining more popularity due to the lack of blue being used in food production, thus making it easier to spot leaks in seals. Where this is a requirement, a grade that complies with FDA guidelines is required. This grade also complies with EU1935/2004.

Where contact with dry foodstuffs is the concern, a grade that complies with FDA guidelines is required. This grade also complies with EU1935/2004. Select this grade where higher oil resistance than Neoprene is required.

This is a premium grade Blue FDA/EC1935:2004 compliant Nitrile which has food safe additives which can be picked up in the event of gasket/seal failure, by metal detectors commonly used within the food and pharmaceutical industries.

A high grade Nitrile with good mechanical properties and good oil resistance. Recommended for most aliphatic and aromatic oils. Good Benzine resistance.
