Trust PTM for gaskets and seals .
EPDM is the go-to material wherever water is involved. It offers excellent resistance to water, alkalis and ozone, very good resistance to acids and good resistance to ketones, which means it holds up in everything from cold outdoor pipework to hot water systems. With an operating range of -40°C to +120°C, it stays stable and flexible in conditions that would degrade many other elastomers.
This particular grade carries WRAS approval, certifying it as safe for contact with potable drinking water. That makes it suitable for water treatment plants, drinking water pipelines, storage tanks, pumps and valves. Beyond water systems, the material’s weather resistance also makes it a reliable choice for man-way gaskets and weather strips.
One honest limitation: EPDM performs poorly against oils, fuels and petroleum based solvents. For applications involving any of these, ask us about nitrile instead.
