Oscillating knife CAD/CAM cutting table Operator

We currently have a rare opportunity for an oscillating knife CAD/CAM cutting table Operator.

 

Having experienced substantial growth in recent years, this has now led to a vacancy in our busy production facility.

 

This is a permanent, full time (36 ½ Hours per week) role based in our factory at Clarence Mill in Bollington.

 

The Company/s

 

We have two companies specialising in the production and supply of sealing solutions. Munsch & Co. was established in 1972, and in 2015 we set up our sister company, Polymer Trade Manufacturing.

We supply into many market sectors including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, automotive, Oil & gas, construction & marine etc.

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly, hardworking team of 14 people who are multi-skilled across all areas of the business.

The Role

 

As 90% of our product range is manufactured and produced in-house, this provides variation in the day to day workload.

The role will involve the following:

 

  • Operating one of two oscillating knife CAD/CAM controlled cutting tables, producing bespoke gaskets in a variety of materials.
  • Using AutoCAD and Alphacam software to produce drawings and cut the finished parts.
  • Correct reading of job cards.
  • Use of hydraulic presses on occasion for producing gaskets.
  • Locating material and tooling.
  • Packaging and quality control.
  • Driving company vehicles, when required, delivering, collecting goods.
  • Stock picking.
  • Following ISO9001, quality procedures. 

The Candidate

 

Full training will be provided; however, the successful candidate needs to have the following attributes:

 

  • Strong IT skills as much of the role will involve using computer software.
  • Full, Clean Driving License, preferred, but not essential.
  • Reliable.
  • Hard-working.
  • Can work individually and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good contributor.
  • Ability to lift, sometimes heavy goods.

The Rewards

 

  • Salary dependent on age and experience, but above minimum wage
  • Yearly bonus
  • Bank holidays + 4 weeks holiday per year, increasing by 1 day per calendar year completed up to 5 weeks.

Internal Sales & Administration

Following a restructuring within the companies we now have a vacancy for an internal sales administrator.

Munsch and Co/PTM are a well-respected manufacturer of sealing solutions and gaskets, dealing in a multitude of products from rubber to plastics and metallics and we supply into many market sectors including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, automotive, Oil & gas, construction & marine etc.

With Munsch and Co. having been established over 50 years, and the formation of Polymer Trade Manufacturing in 2015, and exhibiting substantial growth an opportunity has arisen for the right person to join our company working in our busy sales and accounts office.

This is a full-time position, and the ideal candidate will be someone with good people skills, confident, able to work on their own as well as part of our team. IT skills are imperative, and knowledge of Microsoft Excel would be an advantage.

 

There will be opportunities to develop other skills as we are a multi-skilled employer, open to developing and rewarding all our staff.

The Role

  • Communicating with customers and suppliers by answering phones & dealing with e-mails.
  • Quoting customers by telephone and e-mail.
  • Following up on quotations by phoning prospects and asking them whether we were successful with the quote, or establishing reasons why we were not.
  • Processing customer orders using accounting software.
  • Consulting with the production team and updating lead-times.
  • Ensuring orders are despatched according to set procedures.
  • Dealing with any customer/supplier issues and logging creating NCR’s where required.
  • Processing customer invoices and distributing via e-mail or post.
  • Booking supplier deliveries in after checking the delivery note ensuring everything complies with published procedures.
  • Raising purchase orders on suppliers as requested. Ensure order acknowledgements are received.
  • General accounting duties e.g. preparing and distributing reports and customer statements, filing, aged debt analysis and chasing outstanding payments.

The Rewards

  • Hours of work: 36.5 Hours per week, 8:30-4:30 Monday – Thursday, 8:30-3:00 Friday
  • 4 weeks paid leave (Growing by 1 day per year of completed service, up to 5 weeks), plus all bank holidays.

  • Salary above the minimum/living wage, depending on age.
